Are you a seasoned Electrical Engineer with a passion for ensuring operational excellence and safety in manufacturing? We have an exciting opportunity for you to take on a pivotal role as a Site Electrical Lead at a cutting-edge manufacturing plant in Greater Manchester.

Our client is a global leader who are committed to innovation, quality, and sustainability. The UK site produces specialist products for use in automotive, renewable energy, medical device and infrastructure markets.

Role Overview:

As Site Electrical Lead, you will be the driving force behind the maintenance, service, repair and upgrade of all electrical equipment necessary for manufacturing operations. Your expertise will ensure the safety of staff and contractors, whilst maintaining the continuity of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for electrical operation of all site equipment and services
  • Provide technical guidance and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Support SAP with HV switching requirements and schedules
  • Contractor selection and management
  • Produce engineering documentation; permits to work, risk assessments, purchase orders, training documentation and engineering drawings/manuals
  • Conduct LOTO training for the maintenance team including refreshers and auditing
  • Purchasing of electrical equipment; HV, LV, VSD, PLC
  • Replacement of obsolete parts
  • Route Cause Analysis, breakdown investigation and improvement initiatives
  • Provide ongoing technical support and training to electrical engineers

Qualifications & Skills :

  • Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship, L3 qualification
  • HNC/HND
  • Solid understanding electrical equipment and power supply in a manufacturing environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical equipment and power supply
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics and instructions
  • Highly organised
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Proficiency in CMMS and Microsoft Office tools
  • HV Qualification AP15 advantageous- training can be provided
